The Library of Congress is continuing its digitization of newspapers from across the country. A few of the early Michigan newspapers included are the Grand Haven News, the Grand River Times, and the Grand Rapids Herald.

Our goal is to gather all persons interested in preserving family history and to assist members and friends of the society in the compilation of family histories and genealogical investigation. We are here to carry on projects of a genealogical nature. We help with the location, preservation, publication and deposit in the Hackley Public Library, of records of value to the genealogical community.
