Monument under Large Maple Tree on Sanderson Property on Trent Road near 1344 Trent.
Inscription says, “In honor of Emer A. Bell who fell in Grorelon (sic) IA, August 29, 1862 aged 22 years.
David Bell died February 25, 1855 aged 48 years.
David Bell b VT 28-7-1806 moved to Rutland, NY and then to Hillsdale Co., MI in 1851. In 1854 to Casnovia Twp. on Sec. 20 & 29, died 25-Feb-1855. Married Lucy A. Blodgett (daughter of Samuel and Susanna C. (Whipple) Blodgett of Mass) b Franklin Co., Mass, married 2nd John Brown. David Bell, son of David Bell from VT., married Miss Chloe Carpenter, daughter of Asa and niece of Gov. Benj. Carpenter.
