Muskegon County Genealogical Society - Since 1972

Muskegon County Genealogical Society was founded in 1972.  Our goal is to gather all persons interested in preserving family history and to assist members and friends of the society in the compilation of family histories and genealogical investigation.  We are here to carry on projects of a genealogical nature.  We help with the location, preservation, publication and deposit in the Hackley Public Library, of records of value to the genealogical community.  It is the passion of many of our members to uncover information from their family histories.  Genealogy is a fascinating hobby!  We have many talented people who will assist in doing research for anyone interested.

Our meetings are held the second Thursday of each month (except July) at 7pm in the Torrent House, 315 West Webster Ave., Muskegon, Michigan.

Muskegon is located on the beautiful Lake Michigan Shoreline, which is on the Western side of the state of Michigan in the U.S.A.   We are blessed to live in a town with such an interesting history.  There are  many historical sites and places of interest for visitors to see.
